The People in this interlocutory appeal challenge the ruling of the district court suppressing a statement made by the defendant, Dallas William Pancoast, Jr., to a police detective during the course of a station house interrogation and also suppressing stolen property subsequently recovered by the police as a result of the defendants statement. The district court concluded that the statement and the stolen property were the fruit of the defendants warrantless arrest at his home. We reverse the suppression order and remand with directions to determine the motion to suppress in accordance with the appropriate constitutional standard of "arrest."
